Alongside our Matron, you’ll take care of the day-to-day management of Infection Prevention and Control at the hospital in Leamington. We’re building an incredible patient experience – and it starts with you.
As an Infection Prevention Lead Nurse at our Leicester Hospital, you’ll be registered with the appropriate governing body and hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. With post‑registration experience (at least two years in infection prevention and control), you’re able to carry out investigations and root cause analysis, as well as advising the clinical team.
As an Infection Prevention Lead Nurse, you will:
- Liaise with the lead microbiologist and support the Matron as the DIPC
- Manage the infection prevention audit schedule and lead our infection prevention link team
- Produce an annual Infection Prevention programme and train the clinical and non‑clinical team
- Facilitate the quality assurance review and produce the annual infection prevention report
- Assist with policy development, carrying out action plans and improving best practice
- Support clinical governance in the hospital
