As a Radiographer at our hospital, you’ll bring high levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately. You have a great eye for detail and you’re caring by nature. You hold a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), a postgraduate qualification and excellent teamwork skills.
As a Radiographer, you will:
- Help deliver our high-quality diagnostic imaging service
- Experience a varied caseload in the department, on the ward and in theatre
- Work with leading practitioners and new practices, equipment and facilities
- Carry out scoping to develop policies and procedures
- Supervise and develop junior colleagues
- Ensure that what you do is delivered with sensitivity and compassion
In the successful candidate we are looking for:
- Ability to work autonomously and coordinate/prioritise X-ray/Fluoroscopy workload to maximise patient safety and imaging efficiency.
- Enthusiastic, pragmatic and proactive professional; one that can manage daily, weekly and monthly tasks/checklists and successfully navigate peaks and troughs in workload to complete these effectively.
- Hardworking individual that thrives in both small modality based, and larger department wide team efforts to achieve high quality work and patient satisfaction.
- Keen interest in and/or a drive to further develop auditing skills as part of a robust yearly audit calendar across all modalities, focused on optimising patient dose and image quality.
