We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Decontamination Manager to join our HSSU (Hospital Sterile Services Unit). You will oversee the decontamination and sterilisation processes critical to patient safety and care. As an HSSU Decontamination Manager at The Holly Hospital, you will lead and manage a regional sterilisation operation, ensuring high-quality medical device decontamination services are provided to all Nuffield Health hospitals and third-party customers within the region, while maintaining excellent customer service standards. A strong knowledge of infection control principles and sterilisation techniques is essential, along with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and motivate the Sterile Services team, overseeing daily operations including sterilisation, decontamination, and preparation of medical instruments and equipment.
- Monitor service performance, evaluate against plans, identify issues, predict future needs and shortfalls, and assess capability to meet future demands.
- Ensure all audits and reviews of facilities, equipment, processes, and systems are conducted with appropriate actions taken to address any issues.
- Manage department budgets and resources efficiently to ensure optimal operational performance.
