As a Chemotherapy Staff Nurse on our Oncology Unit at The Manor Hospital, you’ll drive the standard in patient care. You’re registered with the appropriate governing body, plus you bring the qualifications and experience that are relevant to your registration, including NMC. You also have post-registration experience.
As a Chemotherapy Staff Nurse, you will:
- Be flexible, motivated, an excellent communicator and team worker.
- Administer chemotherapy treatments to patients according to prescribed protocols.
- Monitor and assess patients during and after chemotherapy sessions, ensuring their well-being.
- Collaborate with oncologists and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on chemotherapy procedures, potential side effects, and self-care measures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families coping with the challenges of cancer treatment.
