Rehabilitation Specialist – Cambridge FWC | Fitness | Permanent | Part time

Salary: up to £27,310.40 pro rata depending on experience. Hours: 22.5 hours per week.

Join Nuffield Health, the UK's largest healthcare charity. You will contribute to our rehabilitation pathway, delivering programmes that support participants through remote (digital) and in-person activities, including exercise, emotional wellbeing support, healthy eating, and goal setting.

Responsibilities

  • Organise and run a series of rolling 12-week rehabilitation programmes.
  • Facilitate and deliver live stream and in-person group exercise classes for participants with varying abilities and physical function.
  • Promote self-directed activity using pre-recorded on-demand classes and a journal to help participants self-manage after the 12-week programme.
  • Calibrate exercises and intensities based on regular improvements in effort and performance.
  • Identify deterioration in participants and follow internal escalation processes; ensure reporting is processed within defined timeframes and outcome data is captured to support the charitable purpose and track progress.
  • Engage in 1-to-1 telephone conversations weekly with each participant to offer coaching on short- and long-term goals, restrictions, progress monitoring, and emotional wellbeing support.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification is essential.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Experience in rehabilitation or related field preferred (BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation is desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to work collaboratively onsite, with the charity team and beneficiaries; good communication, organisation and self-motivation.
  • Ability to work with vulnerable adults; good English and numeracy skills.
