As a Biomedical Scientist at The Holly Hospital, you will possess relevant qualifications and laboratory experience in biomedical science. The laboratory is multidisciplinary, including Blood Transfusion, Chemistry, Haematology, and Coagulation. Training will be provided in all areas. Experience in Blood Transfusion and Biochemistry is desirable. You should have a good working knowledge of various analytical equipment and techniques. You are a natural communicator and team player, committed to quality.
Your responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality pathology services.
- Participating in the out-of-hours on-call service.
- Performing diagnostic testing, interpretation, reporting, and quality control.
- Maintaining records of specimens, results, reagents, and consumables.
- Supporting validation and assessment of new equipment and procedures.
- Ensuring excellent patient experience.
Requirements to succeed:
- Relevant laboratory experience in multidisciplinary biomedical science.
- Knowledge of analytical equipment and techniques across disciplines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
