As a Process Manufacturing Apprentice at our Wyke manufacturing site in Yorkshire, you will gain real‑world experience operating within a top‑tier COMAH chemical production environment while studying towards a Level 3 qualification. Over the course of this three‑year apprenticeship, you’ll learn how a chemical plant operates in line with Standard Operating Procedures, developing the technical skills, safety mindset and practical experience needed to build a long‑term career in manufacturing. This is an opportunity to earn while you learn — gaining recognised qualifications and invaluable on‑the‑job experience within a global organisation.

How You’ll Help Us Grow

  • Learn to operate plant and equipment safely in line with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Observe plant operations and report any deficiencies promptly.
  • Complete process documentation accurately for all work carried out on shift.
  • Monitor processes, take readings and samples, and report abnormalities.
  • Ensure environmental and safety protection systems are functioning correctly.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation.
  • Work collaboratively within the production team to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Study towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Process Manufacturing alongside practical site‑based experience (training delivered by Cogent Skills Ltd).

We’re looking for motivated individuals who are eager to learn and build a career in manufacturing. You will demonstrate:

To qualify, you must have GCSEs (Grade 4 or above) in English, Maths and a relevant Science subject.

What You Need To Know

Wyke is a top‑tier COMAH site, operating with chemicals that require strict adherence to Health & Safety procedures. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and must be worn as required. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, permanent roles may involve working a rotating shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off for 7 weeks followed by 18 days off).
