As an Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (E,C&I) Apprentice at our Wyke manufacturing site in Yorkshire, you will join a structured three‑four‑year development programme designed to build your technical expertise and practical experience within a top‑tier COMAH environment. You’ll learn how to safely carry out E,C&I maintenance across a wide range of plant equipment, supporting the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. Working alongside experienced engineers and technicians, you will develop the skills and confidence needed to build a long‑term career in engineering while studying towards a Level 3 Engineering Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship.
How You’ll Help Us Grow
- Learn to safely carry out electrical, control and instrumentation maintenance activities.
- Support both planned and reactive maintenance tasks across site.
- Shadow experienced E, C&I engineers, and technicians to gain hands‑on experience and apply best practice techniques.
- Rotate across different areas of engineering and maintenance to build a broad understanding of plant operations.
- Adhere strictly to Health & Safety standards within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Combine practical experience with structured study towards a Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship (training delivered by Calderdale College).

What You Need To Know
Wyke is an upper‑tier COMAH site, operating with chemicals that require strict adherence to Health & Safety policies. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and must be worn as required. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, permanent roles may involve working a rotating shift pattern, including days, nights, and weekends.
