Company Description Nuevo Lawyers is a specialist immigration law firm supporting both private individuals and businesses with a wide range of UK immigration matters.

The firm focuses on delivering creative practical solutions for business immigration cases including sponsor licences, work visas, compliance audits and civil penalty challenges.

The firm also handles personal immigration applications such as spouse and fiancé(e) visas, student visas, deportation and bail matters, UK Ancestry, British citizenship and EU Settlement Scheme cases.

Nuevo Lawyers focuses on attentive client service, clear communication and tailored legal strategies to help clients navigate the immigration system confidently.

Role Description The Immigration Paralegal will support solicitors and caseworkers with the preparation, management and progression of immigration files on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities include gathering client information and evidence, drafting application forms and legal documents, organising supporting documentation and maintaining accurate case records.

The role involves communicating with clients, liaising with relevant authorities, scheduling appointments and monitoring deadlines for applications, appeals, and reviews.

The Immigration Paralegal will also conduct legal research on immigration issues, prepare case summaries and assist with compliance and administrative tasks.

This is a full-time on-site role based in our Birmingham office.

Key attributes including qualifications and main duties Strong foundation in Law with the ability to understand and apply legal principles to practical casework.

Knowledge of Immigration Law and Immigration Issues including common UK immigration routes and procedures.

Experience handling visa applications with attention to eligibility, evidence and visa deadline.

Proficiency in legal document preparation including drafting forms, letters, statements and case bundles.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly to clients.

High level of accuracy, organisation and time management with strong attention to detail and document integrity.

Ability to work collaboratively in a legal team and interact with diverse clients in a professional and respectful manner.

Relevant academic background such as a law degree, legal practice course or paralegal qualification.

Prior experience in immigration law with at l east 12 months’ experience working in immigration law in a broad range of immigration matters however applications from candidates who are otherwise exceptional will still be considered.
