Domestic Gas Remedial Engineer – Waltham Forest

Are you an experienced Gas Engineer looking for a stable, long-term role with a varied workload?

We are looking for a skilled Domestic Gas Remedial Engineer to join our team covering Waltham Forest.

This role is primarily focused on void properties, carrying out remedial gas works to ensure homes are safe and compliant before new tenants move in.

When remedial work is quieter, you'll support the wider team with service and breakdown work, offering a varied and rewarding workload.

The Role

As a Domestic Gas Remedial Engineer, you will be responsible for

  • Carrying out remedial gas works within void properties.
  • Completing gas runs, pipework installations and alterations.
  • Installing and replacing hot water cylinders.
  • Diagnosing and rectifying gas-related defects.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with current Gas Safe regulations.
  • Completing all required paperwork and PDA updates accurately.
  • Providing excellent customer service when working within occupied properties.
  • Supporting the service and breakdown team during quieter periods.

Requirements

  • Current ACS Gas qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1 and CPA1).

  • Previous social housing experience (minimum of 2 years)
  • Experience with gas pipework, cylinders and domestic heating systems.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
