I am currently recruiting on behalf of a small, well-established and growing contractor who is looking to take on an experienced self-employed Carpenter/Multi Trader due to an increase in secured contracts.
Key details:
- Rate: £200 per day
- Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
- Role: Self-employed (must supply own van and tools)
- Locations & contracts: Initial work on Void contracts in Bicester (running until April) and ongoing work thereafter across Larkhill, Tidworth and surrounding areas
Role and Responsibilities
The role will primarily involve kitchen and bathroom refurbishments within void properties. Main duties include:
- Carpentry: Second-fix carpentry, kitchen fitting, doors, skirting, and general repairs
- Plumbing: Basic plumbing works such as fitting sinks, taps, wastes, and bathroom fixtures
- Tiling: Wall and floor tiling in kitchens and bathrooms, including small remedial works
- Patch plastering: Making good walls and ceilings following installation works
- Painting & decorating: Preparing surfaces and completing final finishes to a good standard
The client is a small business expanding rapidly, offering a more personal, supportive working environment compared to larger contractors. This is an excellent opportunity for ongoing, long-term work with consistent hours.
