We are currently seeking an experienced Electrician to join a busy planned maintenance programme within social housing properties across Reading (RG2) and surrounding areas within a 6-mile radius. The successful candidate will be carrying out electrical works associated with kitchen and bathroom refurbishment projects in occupied residential properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical installations as part of kitchen and bathroom renewals
  • Testing and inspection of completed works
  • Fault finding and remedial works where required
  • Ensuring all work is completed to current regulations and company standards
  • Working professionally within occupied social housing properties
  • Completing relevant certification and paperwork

Essential Requirements

  • ECS Gold Card (Essential)
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing Qualification (Essential)
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Previous experience working within social housing planned works
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience working on kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes
  • Experience working in occupied properties

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Electrician looking for long-term work on a well-established social housing contract. You will be working across Reading (RG2) and nearby areas, completing planned refurbishment works within residents' homes.
