We are seeking a Temporary Electrician to support ongoing electrical works across a school site. The role will involve a mix of installation, containment, and emergency lighting, with a strong focus on emergency lighting systems and containment installation. This is a site-based role working within live educational environments, requiring a professional and safety-conscious approach at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, maintenance, and testing of emergency lighting systems in line with current regulations.
- Installation of containment systems including cable basket, tray, conduit, and trunking.
- Carrying out electrical installation works within school environments.
- Assisting with upgrades, modifications, and refurbishment of existing electrical systems.
- Fault finding and basic remedial electrical works where required.
- Ensuring all work is completed to BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and relevant safety standards.
- Working safely in occupied school environments with strict safeguarding requirements.
- Reading and working from drawings, specifications, and site instructions.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, cleanliness, and professionalism on site.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Electrician
- Valid 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Experience with emergency lighting systems.
- Strong background in containment installation (basket, tray, conduit).
