About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plumber to join a leading contractor delivering responsive repairs and maintenance across social housing properties throughout Manchester. This is a permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary, company van, fuel card, and excellent long-term career prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out reactive plumbing repairs and maintenance within occupied and void social housing properties.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing faults efficiently and to a high standard.
- Install, maintain and repair:
- Taps, toilets and sinks
- Baths and showers
- Pipework and waste systems
- Radiators and valves
- Cylinders and water tanks
- Trace and repair leaks.
- Carry out minor multi-trade works where required, including basic tiling, patch plastering and carpentry.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company standards.
- Provide excellent customer service while working in tenants' homes.
- Complete job reports using a handheld device.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plumber, ideally within social housing, responsive repairs or property maintenance.
- NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent qualification (desirable).
- Experience working in occupied properties.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of current health and safety regulations.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
