About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Qualifying Supervisor (QS) to join our growing electrical compliance team. This is a senior position requiring a strong technical background in inspection, testing, EICRs, remedial works, and electrical compliance, with responsibility for ensuring all electrical works are completed to the highest standards and in accordance with BS 7671 and relevant certification body requirements.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within social housing, domestic, commercial, or compliance contracts and be confident managing engineers, auditing work, and signing off certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the company's Qualifying Supervisor and technical lead.
- Review, verify, and approve EICRs, Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs), and Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificates (MEIWCs).
- Ensure all electrical works comply with BS 7671, Building Regulations, and certification body requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to electricians, testers, and supervisors.
- Carry out regular site audits, inspections, and quality assurance checks.
- Monitor engineer performance and provide mentoring and training where required.
- Review observation coding and remedial recommendations for technical accuracy.
- Support NICEIC/NAPIT assessments and maintain compliance documentation.
- Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Liaise with clients, contract managers, and operational teams to ensure service delivery standards are achieved.
- Promote a strong health and safety culture across all contracts.
Essential Requirements
- Extensive experience in electrical inspection, testing, and compliance.
- Previous experience as a Qualifying Supervisor, Electrical Supervisor, or Senior Testing Electrician.
- Strong knowledge of BS 7671 Wiring Regulations.
- Experience reviewing and signing off electrical certification.
- Proven background in EICRs and remedial works.
- Excellent fault-finding and technical diagnostic skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Essential Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- AM2 or equivalent industry qualification.
Desirable Qualifications
- NICEIC Qualified Supervisor experience.
- SSSTS, SMSTS, or IOSH qualification.
- Experience within social housing and compliance contracts.
- Experience managing teams of electricians and testers.
