We are recruiting for an experienced Testing & Maintenance Contracts Manager to join a leading social housing contractor.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in electrical testing, remedial works, and contract management to oversee the successful delivery of electrical compliance and maintenance programmes across a large social housing portfolio.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing EICR testing contracts, remedial works, compliance programmes, and operational teams within the social housing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of electrical testing and maintenance contracts across multiple social housing clients.
- Oversee large-scale EICR testing and remedial programmes, ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Lead and manage Contract Supervisors, Site Managers, Administrators, and teams of Testing Electricians.
- Monitor contract performance, KPIs, SLAs, and compliance targets, implementing improvements where required.
- Review EICR results and ensure remedial works are completed within agreed timescales.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with housing associations, local authorities, and key stakeholders.
- Ensure all contracts comply with current legislation, including BS7671 Wiring Regulations, health and safety standards, and client-specific requirements.
- Manage financial performance, including budgets, cost control, forecasting, valuations, and profitability.
- Produce regular operational and performance reports for senior management and clients.
- Conduct regular site visits, quality inspections, and audits to ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance.
- Lead contract meetings and provide technical support to operational teams where required.
- Drive continuous improvements in productivity, customer satisfaction, and first-time fix performance.
Requirements
- Significant experience managing electrical testing and remedial contracts within the social housing sector.
- Strong knowledge of EICR programmes, electrical compliance, and remedial works.
- Proven experience managing large operational teams, supervisors, and engineers.
- Extensive experience working with housing associations and local authority contracts.
- Excellent understanding of contract management, KPIs, SLAs, budgeting, and commercial performance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Sound knowledge of BS7671, health and safety legislation, and electrical compliance requirements.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
