Location – South Manchester
We are currently recruiting for a Contract Domestic Gas Quality Control Auditor to cover South Manchester 4/5 days per week. This role will entail quality control inspections being undertaken on a variety of works carried out for social housing providers.
Service
- Turn up and ask tenant if engineer showed his ID / gas Safe Card
- Was the engineer polite and well presented?
- Did the engineer leave a copy LGSR?
- Check boiler and do a Gas rate and FGA on max to check readings are the same
- Visual Check PRV termination, condensate, room thermostat
Install
- Same as above but also check radiators if installed & TRVs
- Is pipework clipped?
- Tightness test only if deemed necessary
Breakdown
- i.e. engineer fitted a pump - did he/she actually fit a pump?
Qualifications and Skills
- A full suite of ACS qualifications. As a minimum: CCN1, CENWAT (CEN1, WAT1), HTR1, CKR1 and CPA1
- Detailed knowledge of gas appliances and central heating systems supplemented by a thorough understanding of Normative Documents especially the Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations 1998
- Good communication skills
- Full driving licence
The ideal candidate will have some previous experience in auditing/ inspecting jobs, availability 5 days per week (Monday- Friday) and their own van and tools as well as up to date documents e.g. ACS, Calibration, Public Liability Insurance etc.
