About the Role

We are seeking an organised and proactive Planner / Scheduler to join a busy electrical contracting team based in Wickford, Essex. The successful candidate will support the delivery of EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) and remedial works contracts across occupied social housing properties, ensuring engineers are scheduled efficiently and works are completed within client service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate electrical engineers for EICR inspections and remedial works.
  • Manage daily diaries and optimise engineer productivity.
  • Liaise with tenants, housing providers, and operatives to arrange appointments.
  • Monitor job progress and ensure works are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Reschedule missed appointments and reactive works as required.
  • Maintain accurate records on company and client systems.
  • Track compliance deadlines and outstanding remedial actions.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls relating to appointments and works updates.
  • Provide administrative support to the contract management team.
  • Ensure all scheduling activities meet client KPIs and service standards.
  • Produce reports and updates on work status and completion rates.
  • Resolve scheduling issues and respond to changing operational demands.
  • Work closely with supervisors and engineers to maximise first‑time completion rates.
  • Support the delivery of a high‑quality service to residents and stakeholders.
  • Assist with general contract administration and planning duties.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a planner, scheduler, coordinator, or administrator role.
  • Experience within social housing, property maintenance, facilities management, or construction is desirable.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office and scheduling systems.
  • Customer‑focused approach and attention to detail.
