We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join one of our leading private housing clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing gas systems across residential settings. This role requires a strong technical background, practical skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently.
Area: Cambridge
Schedule: 3-5 days per week (must be consecutive days)
Compensation: Paid weekly
Work method: Work via a PDA
Responsibilities:
- Service, inspect, maintain, and repair gas systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations
- Conduct thorough safety checks on all gas appliances and equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with gas systems and implement effective solutions
- Troubleshooting issues on various systems, using digital fault-finding equipment, and repairing or replacing faulty components
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and report any safety concerns or faults
Qualifications & Experience:
- Heating – 5 years
- Private housing contract – 3 years
- Own van and tools
- ACS
- Driving License
- Public Liability Insurance and other documents such as Calibration, etc.
- Gas Safe (can use theirs)
