The Opportunity
As a Senior or Lead Medical Writer, you will lead the development of scientific publications and communication materials that translate complex neurological data into clear, credible, and engaging narratives. You will collaborate with global clients, external authors, and internal experts to deliver content that meets the highest scientific and ethical standards while supporting data dissemination strategies in the fast-evolving oncology field. You will also play a key role in mentoring writers, driving quality and consistency across deliverables, and contributing to strategic discussions on publication planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate complex data into accurate, compelling, and audience-appropriate scientific narratives.
- Collaborate with clients, authors, and opinion leaders throughout the publication process — from concept to submission.
- Ensure all deliverables adhere to Good Publication Practice (GPP 2022), ICMJE, and company compliance standards.
- Provide scientific guidance and editorial review for writers across the team.
- Partner with account and editorial colleagues to ensure scientific excellence and seamless project delivery.
- Contribute to strategic publication planning, scientific messaging, and data communication initiatives.
- Support new business activities through content development and scientific insight.
About You
- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, or MSc) in a life science discipline; oncology background highly desirable.
- Several years of experience in medical communications.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and data interpretation skills — able to communicate complex science with clarity and precision.
- Knowledge of publication best practices and familiarity with global publication management tools.
- Strong project management and client liaison skills, with the ability to deliver under pressure and maintain scientific integrity.
- Collaborative mindset and a passion for mentoring and scientific storytelling.
