About the role
We're looking for an experienced Senior Medical Writer to join a global publications and medical affairs team in oncology. You will partner with global clients on publications and medical affairs strategy and deliverables, plus work as part of a larger account team. Coaching junior writers will be an important part of the role as well - we have experience developing people and we hope you do too! Solid tumour oncology experience is an advantage, but extensive publications and medical affairs deliverable experience is more important.
This is a great opportunity to take the next step into leading and driving a workstream within a large team, build deep relationships with clients, and be part of a large, supportive, and fun team.
Here's what you'll do:
- As a Senior Medical Writer, you will develop accurate and high-quality scientific content and coach junior team members.
- You will partner with your peers, senior editorial team (ASD/SD/SSD), and CS to lead and grow the business.
- You will develop client and author relationships that allow you to make great, strategy-driven recommendations.
- You will co-lead client and author calls and scientific meetings.
- The role offers opportunities to be a partner and trusted advisor to the client, with some travel for client meetings and events.
- You will report to an Associate Scientific Director and will mentor junior members of the medical writing team.
About you:
To succeed you will have:
- Several years' experience working in a medical writing role in both publications and medical affairs, within a medical communications agency environment.
- Experience writing across a broad range of deliverables and formats for a variety of medical audiences.
