We are on the lookout for an Investment Analyst to join our busy Investment Oversight Team. You will primarily be working in the Technical Investments Team and the role will encompass the onâboarding, management and administration of NonâStandard / Specialist investments held across the Nucleus group.
Integral to this role is excellent organisation and prioritisation, attention to detail and "heroic reaction" skills. This means being a pro at managing both tasks that are assigned to you and new or existing projects all whilst also supporting the team in a variety of investment operations functions. Every day you will manage your workload, ensuring actions are dealt with within agreed timeframes, enabling our advisers to get the best outcome for their clients.
Responsibilities- Undertaking a thorough inâdepth due diligence assessment on NonâStandard / Specialist investments to enable you to make a fully informed decision on acceptability.
- Making a recommendation including a detailed rationale of the acceptability of NonâStandard / Specialist investments to Senior Leadership.
- Liaising with the administration support to finalise the onboarding of assets and ensuring that receipt of title is accurate and reflects the true position.
- Acting as a point of contact for escalations and complex technical investment issues whilst ensuring that client deadlines, all internally agreed key performance indicators, service standards and regulatory reporting requirements are met.
- Processing of client instructions, managing internal and external queries across multiple channels accurately and to the service standards set by the Company, whilst at all times maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating discretion with clients and business introducers.
- Developing a thorough understanding of the risks of investing into NonâStandard / Specialist investments whilst assessing alignment with regulatory guidance on highârisk and speculative investments.
- Proactively identifying risks within the department and escalating concerns to Technical Team Leader.
- Using and producing Management Information reporting and board papers to identify and support the mitigation of risks and accurate record keeping with the ability to escalation where tolerances exceed limits.
- Creating, reviewing and enhancing process guides, key literature, controls, communication templates and webpages.
- Supporting the Management team with the preparation, coordination and completion of regulatory data requests.
- Receiving referrals and considering adjustments of existing or ongoing fees relating to both active and impaired NonâStandard investments.
- Receiving and reviewing Workplace Pension Scheme data, producing investment reports, considering and taking forward actions and notifications to customers.
- Sharing your knowledge and supporting your colleagues across the Technical Investment team and wider business.
- Building and maintaining thirdâparty relationships, ensuring we get the best from our suppliers and our clients are at the heart of everything you do.
- Previous experience in the financial services industry and ideally working within a SIPP provider.
- Understanding of the SIPP investment lifecycle and the risks inherent with a wide range of investments.
- Knowledge of different asset classes and impact to operational processes.
- Excellent relationship building skills.
- Able to prioritise the highâimpact work, but never neglect the details.
