As our Learning and Development Adviser, you\’ll sit at the heart of how learning happens at Nucleus. This is a varied and influential role where you\’ll combine operational excellence with trusted advice, helping our people access high-quality development that genuinely makes a difference.
You\’ll be the go-to expert for learning across the organisation, keeping our L&D engine running smoothly, shaping great learner experiences, and ensuring we\’re always aligned to best practice. From supporting colleagues with the right learning solutions, to working with external providers and analysing data to spot trends and opportunities, your work will directly enable capability growth across the business.
Beyond the day-to-day, you\’ll have the chance to contribute to exciting L&D projects, support early careers pathways, and play an active role in internal workshops, onboarding and facilitation. If you enjoy variety, collaboration and the satisfaction of seeing learning translate into real impact, this role offers a brilliant opportunity to grow your career while helping others grow theirs.
Whatyou\’llbe responsible for: Coordinating the annual e-learning cycle, ensuring learning remains accessible, relevant and well managed across the organisation
Managing ad-hoc learning requests from across the business and advising on appropriate development solutions
Booking and scheduling external training, courses and qualifications, working closely with providers and internal stakeholders
Writing, managing and reviewing learning agreements to support structured and effective development
Acting as a first point of contact for L&D queries, providing timely, clear and supportive guidance to colleagues
Sourcing, engaging and building relationships with new training providers to continuously enhance our L&D offering
Managing L&D systems, data and management information (MI), including analysis and reporting to drive insight and improvement
Overseeing internal training feedback and using insights to improve learner experience and impact
Supporting early careers initiatives, including work experience, apprenticeships and internships
Contributing to the delivery of L&D projects and strategic initiatives that build capability across Nucleus
About you You\’re an experienced and organised L&D professional who enjoys being at the centre of learning activity. You bring a balance of operational excellence and people-focused thinking, using data, relationships and best practice to create learning experiences that add real value. Collaborative by nature, you\’re comfortable working across teams and handling multiple priorities with confidence.
You\’ll bring: Experience managing L&D operations within a corporate environment
A proven ability to build and maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships
High attention to detail, with strong analytical and data-handling skills
A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a wider People team
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Strong relationship-building and team-working capabilities
A little about us We\’re the Nucleus Financial Platforms group and we help make retirement more rewarding.
People come first – whether it\’s our colleagues, or the advisers and customers we support, we know that working in partnership and collaboration leads to the best outcomes. Together, we\’ve shaped the platform to how it is today. We work hard, and we celebrate hard too.
Our ambition is to create a platform with a difference, putting the customer centre stage meant tearing up the rule book and starting from scratch. We\’ve come a long way since then, but our mission remains just as focused. That\’s why our culture, values, and social responsibility are things we keep at the top of our agenda – because we know they matter and have a big impact.
Our culture is one of the many things that sets us apart from the pack. We want to have an environment where our people feel that they can make a real difference, know they\’ll be rewarded for their efforts and more importantly, enjoy themselves at work.
Are we a perfect match? Check out this video and find out! Inclusion and diversity at Nucleus As with most things in life, who cares, wins. We really care about inclusion.
For us it\’s not a tick box exercise; inclusion and diversity are embedded in our culture and everything we do. It\’s a commercial imperative. It isn\’t about being PC. It\’s about being future-relevant and durable. We owe it to ourselves and the industry to ensure we are playing our part in creating a fair, balanced and transparent financial services sector.
More diversity means broader experience, a wider set of perspectives and a better collective ability to problem-solve. And it means being more representative of customer groups, which supports areas such as product development.
At Nucleus, we offer a generous blend of benefits for the things that really matter to our people, including a non-contributory pension, bonus, enhanced parental leave, paid time off for emergencies, health and wellbeing initiatives and flexible working options.
