The role:

  • Lead the analysis and design activity for medium to large‑scale projects within a portfolio of digital and business transformation programmes.
  • Support complex asset management solutions, helping the organisation make better, data‑driven decisions across engineering, operations and support functions.
  • Work closely with customers, project managers, architects and technical teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and robust system designs.

With a varied pipeline of work and evolving priorities, the role offers continuous learning, professional growth and the chance to make a tangible difference to how nationally important services are delivered.

Essential experience of the Senior Business Analyst:

  • Strong experience in requirements capture and requirements management.
  • Experience working across the full software development lifecycle, including agile and waterfall delivery.
  • Proven capability in business and information modelling, including entity relationship and class models.
  • Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specifications.
  • Confidence applying IT solutions to solve complex business problems.

Qualifications for the Senior Business Analyst:

  • Degree‑level qualification in an IT‑related discipline, or equivalent proven professional experience.
  • Professional business analysis certifications are advantageous.

The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
