The role:

As a Business Systems Analyst, you’ll play a vital role in enabling the digital backbone of our engineering capability. You’ll analyse, develop, maintain and support engineering software applications that underpin critical programmes across defence, aerospace and engineering. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative team of specialists, building your expertise in engineering systems while delivering solutions that directly support operational excellence. Your work will help drive innovation, improve system performance, and ensure our technology meets the evolving needs of a complex, mission-critical environment.

Day-to-day, you’ll be:

  • Supporting the analysis, design and configuration of engineering software applications
  • Delivering application improvements, minor changes and project-based enhancements
  • Providing second and third line support to ensure system reliability and performance
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements
  • Ensuring applications align with defined strategies, roadmaps and architecture

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days onsite and days working from home.

Essential experience:

  • Experience managing and maintaining IT or business system solutions
  • Understanding of engineering or technical software environments
  • Basic knowledge of one or more of the following: Computer Aided Design, Product Lifecycle Management, Computer Aided Manufacturing, Design Analysis, or Integrated Logistic Support
  • Experience working within a structured IT or digital delivery environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • IT or Engineering related Degree or equivalent qualification

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
