The role

As a Safety, Health and Environmental Protection Advisor, you’ll play a vital role in strengthening our safety culture and driving continuous improvement across our Land business. Your work will directly support operational teams, strengthen risk management, and help ensure that our people, customers and environments remain protected. It’s an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while growing your career in a supportive and purpose‑driven organisation.

Day-to-day, you’ll be:

  • Supporting operational managers to embed safe working practices and strengthen accountability for HSE.
  • Providing expert advice to drive cultural change and improve HS&E performance.
  • Conducting compliance and assurance activities across statutory, customer and internal requirements.
  • Delivering clear, practical feedback that promotes continuous improvement.
  • Supporting risk assessments and safe systems of work across UK and overseas activities.

This is a full-time, onsite role, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You’ll occasionally travel to other UK IBES sites, generally around once per quarter.

Essential experience of the Safety, Health and Environmental Protection Advisor

  • Experience working in a full‑time health and safety role.
  • Confident using computers, with strong written communication skills.

Qualifications for the Safety, Health and Environmental Protection Advisor

  • NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Health & Safety or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
