The role:

As an Engineering Administrator, you’ll provide vital administrative and operational support to a multidisciplinary engineering team. Your work will help ensure engineering activities run smoothly, documentation is maintained accurately, and projects remain aligned with customer requirements and company standards. This is a great opportunity to build experience within a highly collaborative engineering environment while contributing to work that supports national defence capabilities.

Day to day you’ll be required to:

  • Coordinating and preparing materials for meetings, including agendas and minutes and updating internal databases and systems
  • Supporting engineers with project administration, reports, and technical documentation and managing and maintaining engineering documentation, records, and filing systems
  • Arranging travel, processing expenses, and ordering office supplies and equipment
  • Obtaining technical Repair and Maintenance Information via Vehicle Manufacturer portals
  • Providing Data input support into Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Product Data Management (PDM) tools

The role is based on site at Walsall, and the set working times are Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am to 1:00pm.

Essential experience of the Engineering Administrator:

  • Administration experience within an engineering, automotive, manufacturing, or similar environment
  • Strong organisational skills with an analytical mindset
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience using Navision or similar systems, advantageous
