The role:
- As a Vehicle Paint Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary.
- You will be a vital part of our Land sector team, supporting the refurbishment and finishing of military vehicles and equipment.
- Your expertise will ensure every asset meets exacting quality and durability standards, ready for service in demanding environments.
Day-to-day you’ll be required to:
- Prepare surfaces by masking, washing, blasting, filling, and sanding ready for coating.
- Use degreasers and approved cleaning agents to remove contaminants and ensure paint quality.
- Apply coatings through spraying, patch painting, and rolling to required specifications.
- Complete work to defined quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Support vehicle and equipment refurbishment activities within a collaborative workshop team.
The role is based onsite at Bovington, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday.
Essential experience of the Vehicle Paint Technician:
- Experience in spray painting heavy commercial vehicles or similar large assets.
- Level 3 qualification in Paint Spraying within the Regulated Qualifications Framework or National Vocational Qualification, or equivalent.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
