The role is dynamic, allowing you to make a real impact by ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement, and shaping a culture of safety across one of the UK’s most strategic defence sites.

Day-to-day you’ll be:

  • Conducting workplace inspections to identify hazards and reduce risks
  • Delivering professional health and safety advice across the site and supply chain
  • Participating in audits and managing corrective actions
  • Investigating incidents to identify root causes and implement improvements
  • Representing the department in meetings and sharing best practices

This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at HMNB Clyde Faslane.

Essential experience:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of statutory, regulatory, and standards compliance
  • Experience in auditing and engaging with regulators
  • Skilled in accident and emergency response
  • Proven ability to lead incident investigations and safety interventions
  • Previous experience in a similar industrial, shipbuilding, or engineering environment

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH Certificate
  • Working towards a Health and Safety Degree or NEBOSH Diploma is advantageous

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
