The role
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact systems engineering across a major long-term nuclear programme. Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Lead and direct systems engineering activities across complex programmes
- Allocate tasks and oversee delivery from a team of systems engineers
- Mentor and support junior engineers to grow capability across the team
- Deliver hands‑on systems engineering including requirements, architecture, and integration
- Lead and contribute to technical and design reviews with key stakeholders
This is a full‑time role working 37 hours per week at either our Bristol or Warrington, Cheshire site. Hybrid working patterns are available.
Essential experience of the Senior Systems Engineer
- Demonstrating strong systems engineering experience across requirements engineering, system architecture, integration, verification and validation
- Leading or mentoring engineers within engineering teams
- Working on complex, multidisciplinary engineering programmes
- Reviewing technical outputs and leading engineering or design reviews
- Applying full lifecycle systems engineering expertise
Qualifications for the Senior Systems Engineer
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership (desirable)
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
