The role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be a key leader within our Project Management Office (PMO) in the ISTAR & Cyber business area. You will lead a team delivering projects across government contracts, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products and services to our customers.

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex projects throughout their lifecycle, supporting customers from requirements capture to delivery and handover.
• Apply robust project management methodologies to ensure quality, accountability, and high standards, and present project performance to senior management.
• Implement project controls related to risk, financials, change, and stakeholder management, aligned with Babcock and APM standards.
• Manage the operational and strategic aspects of the PMO, including personnel management, workload balancing, and recruitment support.

This full-time role is based on-site at Ashchurch, near Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, with potential for agile and flexible working arrangements. Please inquire during the interview process about flexible work options.

Essential experience

• Extensive project management experience.
• Experience with complex engineering projects is preferred.
• Experience in defence and security sectors is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• APM Project Professional Qualification (SCQF Level 9), PMQ, PRINCE2, PMI, or equivalent.
• Current, valid DV Security clearance.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national holding current, valid DV clearance and able to obtain and maintain Enhanced Developed Vetting (EDV) clearance.
