Lead safe, compliant avionics maintenance in a regulated aviation environment. This is a senior, hands-on supervisory role where you’ll lead avionics maintenance activity, ensure airworthiness standards are met, and provide technical leadership to a skilled team supporting operational flying.
The role involves supervising and supporting a team of avionics personnel, ensuring maintenance tasks are delivered safely, to schedule, and in line with approved technical data. You’ll balance technical oversight with people leadership, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
Day-to-day, you will:
- Supervise avionics maintenance activity, ensuring work is completed safely, compliantly, and to plan
- Delegate and authorise tasks to maintain airworthiness and operational readiness
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to avionics personnel
- Monitor quality, safety, and risk, escalating issues and supporting investigations where required
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with approved technical information
This is a full-time, permanent onsite role, working standard weekday hours.
Essential experience of the Avionics Senior Supervisor:
- A confident avionics supervisor with strong technical credibility
- Proven ability to lead teams in a safety-critical, regulated environment
- Clear communication skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions
- A proactive approach to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement
Qualifications for the Avionics Senior Supervisor:
- Completion of a recognised avionics or aeronautical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification
- Authorisation to carry out and oversee vital or independent inspections is desirable
Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
