The Role

As a Security Administrator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. In this role you will be key in providing professional security support to all business functions across Mission Systems and will collaborate on wider security matters across Babcock Group. Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for the effective delivery of all day-to-day business security related matters ensuring key support functions are delivered in a smart, flexible and holistic manner to ensure the business continues to operate safely and securely.

  • First point of contact for all new hire candidates, delivering all aspects of Security onboarding.
  • Ensuring that all security requirements are met by the business and are compliant with Babcock Policy and other internal requirements as well as all external contractual obligations, legal requirements and policy frameworks.
  • Acting as the key point of contact to both internal and external stakeholders to enable an open and transparent working relationship focused on resolving issues as they arise.
  • Responsibility for regulating, monitoring and reporting on the secure operating processes of all electronic security systems.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Ashton Vale, Bristol. However, this can be flexible where the business allows to work from home (typically one day a week).

Essential experience of the Security Administrator:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in an administrative role.
  • A baseline working knowledge of relevant Government Security Standards.
  • Possess well developed IT skills.
  • Good practical understanding of the general requirements necessary to maintain compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
  • Demonstration of good communication skills both verbal and written.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be a SOLE UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. However, the successful candidate will be eligible to start on Standard (BPSS) security clearance. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.
