Research Programs Manager – Summary of Main Duties
A Research Programs Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and delivery of research projects and programs within an organisation. Key duties include:
- Project Management: Leading and managing multiple research projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Strategic Planning: Supporting the development and implementation of research strategies aligned with organisational goals and priorities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including researchers, funders, collaborators, and regulatory bodies, to facilitate effective communication and partnership working.
- Financial Oversight: Managing program budgets, monitoring expenditure, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements and financial procedures.
- Governance and Compliance: Ensuring research projects adhere to ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
