We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with a strong background in aseptic manipulation, GMP, and cleanroom behaviours to join our team in the UCH Production Department.

The role offers excellent progression opportunities for operators currently working in a Section 10 environment or MS unit who wish to expand their skills in pharmaceutical product preparation.

The successful candidate will be involved in various manufacturing activities, including antibiotics, monoclonal antibodies, chemotherapy, PN, and clinical trials, as well as patient-specific doses. Our busy aseptic service compounds PN for adults (8,000 per year) and neonates, dispenses chemotherapy drugs (50,000 per year), and IV additives (12,000 per year).

Applicants must be Registered Pharmacy Technicians or Science Manufacturing Technicians with experience in the pharmaceutical industry, hospital aseptic units, or other relevant GMP environments.

Main responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting the delivery of Aseptic Services at UCL Hospitals in line with GMP and national standards.
  2. Working within your authority, escalating issues as necessary.
  3. Assisting in the aseptic training of new Technicians and Assistants.
  4. Providing high-quality, safe, and efficient services to patients.
  5. Supporting and deputising for Senior Production Technicians when needed.
  6. Rotating through the Chemo and PN/CIVAS units, dispensing various products while ensuring GMP and GCP compliance.
