The role:
- Lead risk and opportunity management across business winning and project delivery phases, working primarily on complex, multi‑disciplined programmes.
- Establish, embed and maintain robust risk management arrangements that support effective planning, delivery and governance.
- Work closely with Project Managers, commercial and engineering teams, providing insight that helps balance risk, cost, schedule and opportunity.
- Support successful delivery, strengthen governance and enhance decision‑making across the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading risk and opportunity management, including modelling, across bids and live projects.
- Developing and maintaining risk and opportunity management plans and governance arrangements.
- Establishing and managing risk and opportunity registers, ensuring mitigation actions are tracked.
- Coordinating regular risk reviews, producing reports and insights for senior stakeholders.
- Providing schedule and cost risk analysis, supporting informed decision‑making.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience:
- Extensive experience in a specialist risk and opportunity management role.
- Proven ability to support Project Managers on complex, multi‑disciplined projects.
- Strong experience developing and embedding risk management processes and governance.
- Confidence presenting risk insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Experience delivering quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis.
Qualifications:
- Degree‑level qualification in engineering, project management, construction management, or a related discipline.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
