Saturn Centre for Doctoral Training at the University of Strathclyde offers a 4-year PhD studentship in partnership with Nuclear Waste Services (NWS) as part of SATURN. The project investigates gas transport and resealing in high-salinity bentonite barriers for nuclear waste disposal, with access to advanced imaging and multiscale analysis.

The student will work across several universities, attend a bootcamp, and engage in training to become a nuclear sector expert in industry or academia.
