We are a family run business with over 150 employees. We are a world leading fabrication and engineering company working in all the sectors: Renewables, oil and gas, nuclear, petrochemical, food, MOD etc.
Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will continue employment with us. As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work:
- You will receive training and be required to carry out all tasks and jobs in our workshops/yard, working with machinery and people on a daily basis.
- You will start at the bottom; as long as you show willing and eagerness, you will progress quickly in the company and learn all aspects of fabrication and engineering.
- You will work with tradesmen and learn from them on a day-to-day basis.
- You will be operating our machinery, cutting, welding, bending, drilling etc.
- You will also carry out training for work at height and confined space if needed.
The post holder may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description. The particular duties and responsibilities attached to the post may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibility entailed.
The Level 3 Metal Fabricator Apprenticeship is primarily delivered in the workplace with 1 day a week college attendance for three years. You will work towards gaining a Level 3 Metal Fabricator Apprenticeship Standard, as well as a Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge).
Working hours: Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 15:30.
