The role:

  • As a Business Support Manager, you’ll play a key role in enabling the effective delivery of nuclear programmes by providing structured business support across operational, governance and performance activities.
  • This is an opportunity to work at the centre of programme delivery, ensuring processes run smoothly, stakeholders are supported, and key business priorities are achieved.
  • Day-to-day, you’ll contribute to the safe and efficient operation of one of the UK’s most important defence and nuclear environments, while developing your leadership and operational management skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the coordination of business operations to ensure effective programme delivery.
  • Managing governance activities, including reporting, planning and performance tracking.
  • Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Providing oversight and organisation of business support functions across the team.
  • Ensuring compliance with nuclear, regulatory and company standards.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Essential experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in a business support, operations or coordination role.
  • Experience working within a regulated or complex environment (e.g. nuclear, engineering, defence).
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver against deadlines.
  • Experience supporting governance, reporting or operational processes.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
