This position is within the Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT Department at The Royal Marsden NHS Trust.
Main duties of the job:
- The post holder is an integral member of the Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT Department.
- The post holder will coordinate all administrative aspects of the Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT Services, including patient communication, reception, scheduling and clerical duties.
- Ensuring that appointments are scheduled in an efficient and timely manner, so that results can be made available to fit with the patient’s pathway.
- The post holder will also be required to oversee the retrieval of patients’ imaging and reports from external Trusts where required.
- The post holder will also provide cover for the Radiology/Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Chelsea reception desk and will be required to handle enquiries from patients, their carers and Trust and non-Trust staff in person or by telephone/post.
- The post-holder will liaise with a variety of staff throughout the Trust, predominantly involving Chelsea Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT staff, as well as staff within Diagnostic Imaging.
- There will also be contact with consultants and their secretaries throughout the Trust and other Health Services.
Working hours: Monday to Saturday 37.5 hours between 8:00am and 8:00pm. Shift rotation.
