What you'll be doing

Step into the world of cutting-edge naval engineering as a Marine Structures Summer Intern.

Over 12 weeks, you'll join the Submarine Support Engineering (SSE) Structures Group - a team dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the UK's submarine fleet.

You'll be immersed in real-world projects that matter, contributing to both current operations and future innovations. Whether it's analysing submarine strength, evaluating platform structures for explosive shock survivability, or helping shape the design of in-service modifications, your work will have tangible impact. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers, tackle complex challenges, and apply your academic knowledge to solve problems that protect lives and national security.

This is your chance to be part of a technically capable and highly motivated team, gaining practical experience while helping shape the future of maritime defence.
