The role
As a Workshop Supervisor, you will provide first‑line leadership for an operational team, ensuring the people, tools and processes are in place to safely deliver production plans and achieve business objectives. You will take ownership of operational delivery, drive continuous improvement, and make a direct impact on performance, safety and quality.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing an operational team to safely deliver production targets and business objectives.
- Managing workforce planning, performance, welfare, capability and recruitment activities.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality and company processes across the operation.
- Monitoring resources, tooling, equipment and operational systems to maximise performance and minimise risk.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining accurate operational reporting and planning data.
This is a full‑time, permanent role based onsite at Leconfield, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The salary for this position is £33,519 - £39,190, depending on experience.
Essential experience
- Experience supervising teams within a similar operational, production or maintenance environment.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams.
- Experience managing operational performance and resource planning.
- Knowledge of health, safety and quality compliance requirements.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Educated to Level 2 in the National Qualification Framework (or equivalent workplace experience).
- Relevant technical or vocational qualification equivalent to NQF Level 3, such as an Advanced Apprenticeship or Level 3 NVQ.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
