As an Aviation Tool Stores Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in supporting aircraft maintenance operations by ensuring all tools and equipment are controlled, maintained, and available when needed. Working within a regulated aviation environment, your accuracy and attention to detail will directly contribute to safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

You’ll be part of a specialist team supporting fast-paced aircraft maintenance activity, where your work ensures engineers have the right tools, at the right time, in the right condition.

Day-to-day, you will be:

  • Managing the acceptance, storage, issue, and return of tools and equipment
  • Ensuring all tooling is correctly identified, labelled, and recorded in line with regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining accurate records of tool condition, location, and usage at all times
  • Supporting tool calibration, inspection programmes, and audit activities
  • Monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages, damage, or discrepancies.

This is a full-time, onsite role based at RAF Valley, working 36 hours per week.

Essential experience:

  • Working within a tool store, logistics, or engineering support environment
  • Managing tool control systems and maintaining accurate records and traceability
  • Supporting stock control, inventory management, and reporting processes
  • Understanding tool calibration, servicing, and safe storage requirements
  • Working within a regulated or safety‑critical environment, ideally aviation.

This role is open to people with a technical or logistics background with previous experience in tool control in an aviation environment.

Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics
  • Relevant experience in aviation, engineering, or logistics environments (advantageous.)

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
