The role:

  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams delivering complex fleet engineering work packages across nuclear and marine environments.
  • Oversee projects ranging from tens of thousands of hours to several weeks in duration, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

  • Lead and supervise multi-skilled teams and subcontractors to deliver engineering work packages.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate electrical and multi-trade activities to meet cost, time, and quality targets.
  • Ensure all documentation, risk assessments, and method statements are in place and followed.
  • Drive a strong safety, quality, and continuous improvement culture across all activities.
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders including programme teams, ship staff, and support functions.

This role is full time, 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07:15 to 16:45 and is based on site at HMNB Clyde Faslane.

Essential experience:

  • Demonstrating strong electrical engineering experience within a complex environment.
  • Supervising teams or acting in a first-line leadership capacity.
  • Managing or coordinating engineering work packages or projects.
  • Applying a safety-first mindset in highly regulated or safety-critical industries.
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications:

  • HNC or HND in an Electrical Engineering discipline or equivalent qualification.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
