Role Type: Full time / Permanent

Lead commercial finance across complex aviation joint ventures and onshore operations. This is a senior finance leadership role with accountability for financial performance, governance, and reporting across major aviation joint ventures and the onshore aviation portfolio. You’ll operate as a trusted partner to senior leaders, providing insight, challenge, and decision support to shape both strategic and operational outcomes.

The role reports to the Aviation Finance Director, leading the Joint Ventures and Onshore finance team and acting as a key member of the Aviation Senior Leadership Team. You’ll ensure strong financial control, robust governance, and high-quality financial insight to support effective decision-making and risk management across a complex portfolio.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Lead the financial management of Aviation Joint Ventures and Onshore operations, ensuring robust control and governance.
  • Provide senior finance business partnering to Heads of Contract, Programme Managers, and Onshore leadership.
  • Own forecasting, budgeting, and month-end processes, delivering accurate and insightful financial information.
  • Drive financial governance, risk management, and compliance in line with Group and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate the Joint Ventures and Onshore finance team to deliver high-quality outputs.

This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working. The role is ideally based near Staverton, but we will consider UK wide candidates.

Essential experience:

  • A collaborative finance leader with the ability to influence and challenge senior non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial and financial judgement, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insight.
  • Sound understanding of financial governance, controls, and risk management.
  • Experience working within complex contractual or joint venture environments (desirable).

Qualifications:

  • Professionally qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

Security Clearance:
