The role:
- As a Project Controller, you’ll play a vital role at the heart of complex engineering programmes within our Marine business.
- You’ll bring structure, insight and control to projects that are critical to national defence and infrastructure, ensuring delivery is on time, on budget and aligned with business and contractual requirements.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Developing and maintaining integrated project schedules and baseline budgets
- Managing risk and opportunity registers, driving mitigation and improvement actions
- Supporting cost control, forecasting, and performance reporting activities
- Implementing and maintaining change management processes in line with contract requirements
- Collaborating with stakeholders across project teams to ensure alignment and delivery success
This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Friday and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Project Controller:
- Demonstrating experience in project controls or project management within a relevant sector
- Working within a multidisciplinary team environment to deliver projects
- Applying project controls tools and techniques, including performance analysis and reporting
- Understanding project lifecycle management and delivery methodologies
- Showing awareness of common contract frameworks such as NEC or similar
Qualifications for the Project Controller:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management or a related field or equivalent experience
- APM Project Management Fundamentals Qualification or willingness to achieve within 12 months
- Professional membership or accreditation such as APM, Association of Cost Engineers or Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors is advantageous
- Postgraduate qualification is desirable
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
