Drive data‑led insight and digital reporting across aviation programmes. At Babcock, we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together. We’re looking for a Data and Reporting Analyst to join our Aviation business, supporting the HADES programme at any of our main UK locations, near major commutable towns and cities. This is a key role in shaping a more digital, data‑driven approach to reporting and information management.
You’ll work with stakeholders across the programme to improve how data is captured, analysed, and presented, helping to optimise performance and ways of working.
The role:
- As a Data and Reporting Analyst, you’ll sit within the operational HADES team, working across systems, data sources, and stakeholders to design clear, reliable reporting solutions.
- You’ll play a central role in identifying data gaps, improving reporting processes, and building dashboards that support informed decision‑making.
Day-to-day, you will:
- Identify, document, and catalogue data sources and systems used across the programme.
- Analyse current reporting processes and recommend improvements to reduce duplication and manual effort.
- Design and build dashboards and reports (e.g. using Power BI) to provide clear, actionable insight.
- Work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Support data governance, quality, and consistency across reporting outputs.
This is a full‑time, permanent role with hybrid working. You can be based at any Babcock UK site, with travel to site for meetings as required.
Essential experience of the Data Reporting Analyst:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex data into clear, meaningful insight.
- Confidence working with reporting tools and data platforms (e.g. Power BI, Excel, SharePoint).
- Ability to engage stakeholders at different levels and explain data concepts clearly.
- A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage your own workload.
Qualifications for the Data Reporting Analyst:
- Degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative, IT, data, or business‑related field.
- Relevant data, reporting, or business improvement qualifications are desirable.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.
What we offer:
- Generous holiday allowance.
- Matched contribution pension scheme, with life assurance.
- Access to a Digital GP, annual health check, and nutritional consultations through Aviva DigiCare+.
- Employee shopping savings portal.
- Payment of Professional Fees.
- Reservists in the armed forces receive 10-days special paid leave.
- Holiday Trading is a benefit that allows UK Babcock employees to buy additional leave or to sell up to one working week of annual leave from their annual entitlement.
- ‘Be Kind Day’ enables employees to take one working day's paid leave a year (or equivalent hours) to undertake volunteering work with their chosen organisation or registered charity.
