Role Overview

Due to on-going expansion, we have opportunities for CNC Millers who have experience in programming, setting and operating in a busy and dynamic workshop environment. Our company is committed to investing in its workforce. Training and development plans are available to all new employees to provide them with the opportunity to reach their full potential and earn higher rates of pay. Full support and training will be offered to successful candidates from our shop floor management team, to assist in the adjustment from other machine shop environments. Our environment is busy and dynamic and the work diverse, interesting and rewarding. We have one-offs through to small batch, repeat work in a variety of materials from ferrous to nickel alloys. Our informal interview process includes a tour of our facilities.

Candidate Profile

  • Apprentice trained with a suitable work history.
  • Experienced working to tight tolerances and meeting Customers’ exacting requirements.
  • Possess a good working knowledge of writing programs on the machine.
  • Team player with a positive “Can-Do”, methodical and solutions-based approach.
  • Comfortable working to systems and procedures, but able to think clearly and independently.
  • Able to communicate with colleagues at all levels, and be committed to always helping move the business forwards.
  • Able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before commencing employment.

Pay, Conditions and Opportunities

  • Hourly rates of pay up to £26.75/hour dependent on experience and ability (equivalent to £64,870 per annum, based on 6 hours of overtime per week).
  • Overtime typically 4-8 hours per week – overtime paid at x1.5 and x2.
  • Pay is reviewed annually – this is a historical, long-standing commitment to the workforce.
  • There is a bonus scheme for sales growth.
  • Permanent position – all roles within the business are permanent.
  • 38.5 hours basic working week.
  • Basic hours are Mon – Thu 07.00-15.45 (30 mins unpaid lunch break) and Fri 07.00-12.30.
  • Opportunity to request to move start time to either 06:00 or 06:30, once inducted.
  • 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays.
