The role:

  • As a Senior Assistant Company Secretary, you’ll step into a high-impact role at the centre of our Group Secretariat function.
  • You’ll combine hands-on technical delivery with strategic thinking, influencing governance frameworks, systems, and processes.
  • Your work will directly support international growth, corporate restructuring, and compliance making a meaningful contribution to a business that underpins defence, aerospace, and critical infrastructure.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Managing statutory records, filings, and compliance for UK entities and supporting global governance activities.
  • Supporting UK listed obligations including regulatory announcements, annual reports, and annual general meeting processes.
  • Overseeing subsidiary governance across multiple jurisdictions and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintaining and improving entity management systems, ensuring accurate and reliable governance data.
  • Driving process improvements, standardisation, and automation across company secretarial activities.
  • Guiding and supporting a trainee.

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and is based at Wigmore Street, London. Hybrid working patterns are available with 3 days office based.

Essential experience:

  • Demonstrating strong company secretarial experience within a UK listed environment (including regulatory compliance and reporting).
  • Managing subsidiary governance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Delivering statutory compliance, filings, and governance processes at scale.
  • Working with governance systems and driving data integrity and process improvements.
  • Operating both strategically and hands-on with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.

Qualifications:

  • Degree-level education.
  • Chartered Governance Institute qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of United Kingdom company law and corporate governance requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
