Overview: Our client is working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as an Electrical Designer at our Warrington, Cheshire site.

Role: As an Electrical Designer, you'll play a key role in their Nuclear business. From decommissioning redundant facilities to supporting the Continuous at Sea Deterrent and the development of nuclear power stations, we help clean up the nuclear legacy and shape a future where nuclear energy supports national security, energy resilience, and net zero goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Create electrical design solutions and deliverables across the full lifecycle, from concept to in‑service support.
  • Produce and maintain drawings and documentation to ISO standards, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule targets are met.
  • Collaborate effectively with design, engineering, and project teams to ensure coordinated and functional designs.
  • Support design reviews, resolve technical queries, and contribute to innovative solutions for manufacturing and installation challenges.
  • Assist senior designers with estimates, quality improvements, and test documentation, while staying informed on industry developments.

Essential Experience:

  • Knowledge of CAD tools – AutoCAD Inventor
  • Knowledge of General Engineering Drawing Practice.

Qualifications:

  • ONC/HNC/HND (or equivalent)
  • BTEC National Certificate/Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Appropriate apprenticeship of specialisation.
